We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Territory Sales Manager to help drive our expansion into new markets.

Compensation

In this position, you will be paid via a salary + commission compensation plan. Base salary is determined by your job-related experience. Commission is paid monthly. You should anticipate an OTE package of approximately $190,000.

Position Summary

As a Territory Sales Manager at TangoTango, you will be responsible for driving new business and expanding our presence within the state/local government and education sectors, with a focus on public safety agencies and K-12 education. You will be a highly-aggressive and results-driven sales professional, capable of establishing relationships in new markets and meeting/exceeding quotas. This position can be based at our headquarters in Huntsville, AL or be a fully remote position. If remote, occasional travel to our corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL may be required. If applicable, you should be comfortable working in a fully remote environment, with the ability to manage your own schedule and meet deadlines. Regular travel to meet with prospects and clients (a minimum of 25-50%) will be a key part of this role.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced SLED seller with a focus on technology OR 5+ years of professional experience in law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS, or emergency management roles
  • Hands-on operational knowledge of public safety systems, protocols, and procedures.
  • Experience using technology solutions to support public safety operations and an understanding of the role of SaaS or other tech platforms in improving public safety workflows and efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with command staff, technical influencers, procurement staff, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the state and local government landscape, procurement processes, and public safety challenges.
  • Experience navigating bureaucratic structures and working within government regulations.
  • Prior experience in a role requiring outreach, relationship-building, or customer engagement in the public safety space.
  • Ability to translate public safety needs into business solutions and articulate the benefits of new technology or services.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations, with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
  • Critical thinking skills, especially in evaluating public safety challenges and identifying practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify, target, and engage potential clients in state and local government, with a specific focus on public safety departments (e.g., law enforcement, fire services, emergency management).
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets, leveraging your knowledge of government procurement processes and public safety needs.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and persuade senior government officials.
  • Quota Achievement: Meet and exceed sales quotas by closing new SaaS contracts and expanding the company’s customer base.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in government agencies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (product, customer success, operations) to ensure seamless customer onboarding and long-term satisfaction.
  • Market Insights: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, government regulations, and technology advancements relevant to public safety.
  • CRM: Maintain your activity and our CRM, HubSpot.
