Kids playing cell phone games had better technology than the average cop or firefighter, so one Huntsville business developed an app to improve first-responder communications. Tango Tango meshes old-school emergency radio communication and pagers with modern cell phone technology and PTT (push-to-talk) capability.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office now uses an app to keep students safe in the classroom. The application Tango Tango uses WiFi and turns a cell phone into a two-way radio. Now, school resource officers can use that app to communicate directly with other deputies and Morgan County dispatch.
