Four situations where agencies switch after the first time they encounter them — and how Tango Tango fits.
Use cellular or WiFi to cover gaps in your radio coverage — schools, large buildings, or rural stretches.
Flexible, encrypted channels for specialized units that need secure, temporary comms.
Mutual aid across different radio systems. Sheriff in the next county gets on your channel in a minute.
When the radio tower goes down, keep talking. A second network that doesn't share failure modes with LMR.
Whether it's a pursuit across county lines or mutual aid two towns over, the work doesn't end where your radio coverage does. Tango Tango runs on nationwide LTE — or even WiFi or Starlink. Wherever the call takes you, you're still on the air.
Stay on channel with your team even when the chase crosses into the next county or state — never lose touch with your team.
LTE and WiFi can cover where VHF and P25 fade — get coverage in schools, parking garages, and other concrete-heavy structures that swallow radio.
Remote response areas, state park calls, and county-edge addresses stay covered as long as there's cellular signal or any type of connectivity.

Off-radio talkgroups for SWAT, narcotics, surveillance, and any unit that needs to talk without the rest of the agency — or a scanner — listening in.
Every call encrypted in transit and at rest. No one outside the talkgroup is listening.
Supervisor creates the channel, adds the unit, and they're on the air. No RF programming, no radio coordinator.
No RF footprint at all — the traffic never hits the air. Good for plainclothes, good for sensitive cases.

Push-to-talk is the headline. The rest of the toolkit — messaging, recording, GPS, alerts — is in the same app, so officers aren't app-switching mid-call. Also, admins only have one user list to update.
Every transmission is captured automatically — pull up exact audio for reports and incident reviews right from your phone or computer without searching old radio logs at the dispatch center.
Replace WhatsApp and group texts with messaging that your agency owns. History lives on server, not on end user devices.
Push incident alerts to officers, so the right people see the call and have call details right on their phone.

Mutual aid, regional task forces, pursuits that cross lines. Patch in the next agency's channel from the portal — no new hardware, no new contract.
VHF to 800 MHz, conventional to trunked, county to state. Tango Tango patches them and everyone hears everyone.
Agency A grants Agency B access for the operation. When it's done, access is revoked. No loose credentials floating around.
Fugitive tracking, AMBER alert response, federal task forces. Works anywhere there's cell service.
While many regional radio systems unofficially support technology like Tango Tango, some large systems have made it official. See who they are.
Trusted by those who protect
Hear from agencies across the United States.
Tango Tango Interoperability is a must in rural Georgia. Many cases cross jurisdictional boundaries and we all have different radio systems. We've greatly improved response and officer safety. We can communicate in a minute's notice.

Answers to what we hear most from sheriff's offices and PDs.
Is Tango Tango CJIS-compliant?
We use bank-grade encryption on every call, message, and alert, and follow CJIS-aware security practices. We are not formally CJIS-certified as a service — if your agency requires a certified provider, talk to us first and we'll walk through what fits your policy.
Does it replace our P25 or VHF system?
No — it extends it. Most agencies keep their LMR for in-vehicle and primary patrol, and use Tango Tango for off-duty, dead zones, tactical channels, and mutual aid. Some rural agencies do go phone-only, but that's a choice, not a requirement.
How fast can we roll it out?
Agency-wide in days. There's no RF engineering, no FCC licensing, no install truck. Create channels in the portal, point deputies to the app store, and you're on the air that shift.
Can we record radio traffic for evidentiary use?
Yes. Every channel can be recorded and retained according to your agency's policy. Recordings are timestamped, attributable to user, and exportable for case files.
What happens if a phone is lost or an officer leaves?
Revoke the user in the portal and the device is off the air immediately. No channel reprogramming, no radio turn-in process, no stale credentials.
Is there grant funding we can use?
Yes — many agencies fund Tango Tango through COPS grants, state homeland security grants, and operational budgets. Tell us your situation and we'll help with language for your proposal.
